Bang a drum
Rock Band, with the Ion Drum Rocker, 3 cymbals, and the Rock Pedal, Rock Band drumming is a completely new experience. All my equipment registers well, it doesn't make the good old piercing clack (also not silent) and most importantly, it feels like I'm doing something really. i mentally translate it over to what I'd be doing on an acoustic kit which honestly isn't far off. I will admit, it's not cheap but if it's something you're seriously interested in then it's well worth the investment, especially since every piece is upgradable and you can use any drum module for it. You can't beat that. If you decide to upgrade things you can do it one piece at a time AND keep your old pieces, expanding your set. Sounds pretty good to me.
